Birthed from a teenage obsession with classic garage rock and '60s psychedelia, the Shivas morphed into a blurry mesh of punk and surf influences over the course of a prolific streak of releasing albums and a nonstop tour schedule. The band worked with indie stalwarts K Records for several strong records, including their 2014 album You Know What to Do, and branched out to work with other labels on releases like 2021's Feels So Good // Feels So Bad.
The Shivas were formed in 2006 by a very young Jared Molyneux on guitar and vocals, his brother Colby on drums, and friend Eric Shanafelt on bass.
